Date	History Brief
1959	Chong Lee Co Ltd and Chop Leong Seng formed a joint venture company, Chong Lee Leong Seng Co(Pte) Ltd (CLLS) to distribute Yanmar diesel engines and related products in Singapore and Malaysia.
1960	Establishment of sales office in Kuala Lumpur for Yanmar products.
1966	Representation of Denyo Co Ltd(Japan) was formally concluded for the distribution of generators and diesel engine welders.
1969	Incorporation of Chong Lee Leong Seng Enterprises (M) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, West Malaysia.
1970	Development of export market was initiated with the establishment of a sales network throughout Indonesia.
1972	Incorporation of Yasindo Pte Ltd, a joint venture with P.T. Pioneer Trading Co Ltd of Indonesia and Yanmar Diesel Engine Co Ltd, Japan. The main function of Yasindo is to export marine diesel engines to Indonesia.
1973	Initiated cooperation with P.T. Jati Wadja in Medan for the marketing of Yanmar & Robin products in Sumatra and Indonesia. Appointment of sole agency by: Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd(Japan) - Fuji Engines and Mitsui & Co(Japan) - Robin engines, for the Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia markets.
1976	Started cooperation with P.T. Dinamika Setya Mesin in Jakarta to market Robin products in Indonesia.
1977	Incorporation of subsidiary Dinamika Pte Ltd in Singapore.
1978	Appointed as sole agent for Stanton & Staveley in Singapore. Started cooperation with P.T. Marin Power Sentosa in Jakarta to market Yanmar marine diesel engines in Indonesia.
1982	Dinamika Pte Ltd (Singapore) renamed Dynamic Machine Co Pte Ltd.
1983	Appointed as sole agent for Flonic Schlumberger water meters in Singapore.
1984	Acquisition of 70% shares in United Machinery Services Pte Ltd, which is dealing with new and used construction machinery.
1986	Acquisition of Asiatic Navigation (Unit V) Pte Ltd to jointly procure two high-speed crew change vessels with CW Marine for charter hire.
1990	CLLS adopted new articles and changed its status from a private limited company to a public unlisted company. Formation of Tropic Power Co Pte Ltd as an OEM to assemble diesel powered products, i.e. stand by/prime-power generators.
1991	Appointed as a sole distributor of Atlas Copco compressors in Malaysia and Singapore. Establishment of joint venture company Asia Express Shipping Co Pte Ltd. To own and operate a container vessel of 562 TEU for charter hire.
1992	Appointed as sole distributor of Atlas Copco Elektrowerkzeuge products(AEG Electric Power Tools) for Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.
1994	Establishment of Chong Lee Leong Seng Co(China) Ltd a partnership with Hondaraya Enterprises Ltd(HK) to market and distribute Tropic Power diesel powered generators for China, Hong Kong and Macau. Asiatic Navigation(Unit V) Pte Ltd acquired a container of 445 TEU for charter hire.
1995	Establishment of Atlas Copco - CLLS Tools Ltd(ACCT) a partnership with Atlas Copco Elektrowerkzeuge GmbH and Hondaraya Enterprises Ltd(HK) to distribute AEG and Atlas Copco electric power tools for China, Hong Kong and Macau.
1996	Incorporated a joint venture company, FG Longwin International Enterprises Co Ltd in Taipei to market and distribute FG Wilson generators in Taiwan. Ranked 12th position in Enterprises 50, an award in recognition of the top 50 most enterprising privately held local companies in Singapore. Appointed sole distributor for KIA motorcars in Singapore. Incorporated CLLS(Yangon)Ltd to market gensets in Myanmar. Appointed sole distributor in Singapore for Hyundai Construction Equipment Division - Hyundai Heavy Industries. Established a joint venture company Ocean Sun Pte Ltd to own and operate a feeder container vessel of 811 TEU for charter hire.
1997	- Obtained ISO Certification by ABS - Obtained ISO Certification by SIRIM
1998	Acquisition of 50% shares in Ocean Assets Pte Ltd, which owns 1 unit 90M 3500 DWT Product Tankers 'Panoil 8'.
2001	Appointed as sole distributor of ACO Polycrete Pty Ltd (Australia) for distributing Polymer Concrete Drainage products in Singapore.
2002	Appointed as sole distributor of Kress-elektrik GmbH & Co (West Germany), for distributing and servicing of Electric Power Tools for Malaysia and Singapore.
2006	Incorporation of Tropic (Australia) Pty Ltd for sales and marketing of Tropic range of products in Australia Incorporated Golden Alliance Marine (Shanghai)Private Limited, a partnership with Ding Yang Investments (s) Pte Ltd and P.D. Sumber Teknik Diesel , to support the commissioning, testing and after sales service of Yanmar Marine Engine in China
2007	Incorporation of Chong Kee Properties Pte Ltd, an investment Company into property development. Incorporated Beijing Glory Equipment Ltd., a partnership with Shenzhen Chun Yin Investment Co. Ltd and Dolomite Technology (HK) Limited , in the manufacturing and marketing of medical disposable syringes in China.
2008	Co-operated with Kian Bee Holding Pte. Ltd to establish Avant Steel Ltd for sales and marketing of steel plates and steel products.
